Aga Serugo-Lugo / In Tune Training has been running creative, educational music workshop for school and community groups around the country for the last 8 years.
In Tune Training was founded in 2009 to provide a focused team of dedicated workshop leaders to deliver innovative and interactive music workshops for all ages, especially the young. In Tune in particular concentrates on getting the disengaged to be enthused about music and all its possibilities. Aga now sings for the funk band ‘Gefunkt’ and plays/composes for the group ‘Eclectiv’ fusing musical influences from around the world.

How does your workshop relate to being in the NOW?
We’ve got 45 minutes to come up with a new piece. If that isn’t ‘Carpe Diem’, I don’t know what is!
What are you most looking forward to doing within your slot at NOW?
I always look forward to being creative with new and exciting people.
Any tips on how the audience can most benefit from your workshop?
The emphasis is that you relax and have fun!
At Deptford Lounge:
We will use both conventional instruments (small percussion, Djembes, keyboards, clarinets) and less conventional instruments (chairs, plastic bottles, books), some paper and pens to compose a soundscape and song looking at the themes of being in the NOW and wellbeing.
